7/31/2009—The last tournament as a U16 team found LDC
playing at the 09 US Club Soccer showcase in VA Beach. In a four
day tournament over an equal number of days, LDC played teams from
all over the USA. LDC's first game against the Colorado Storm
ended 4-0 to the team from Pennsylvania. AU Capital from South
Texas were LDC's second competition in a very intense game with
end-to-end play and some strong tackles in midfield finally ending
the game tied at 2-2.
The final games of the tournament were played on Sunday and
Monday against the local VA team, VA Rush, and a team from NJ, the
Cherry Hill Dynamite. Both games were dominated by LDC with half
times scores of 4-0 and final scores of 4-0 and 5-0 to the Lower
Dauphin side.
